Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. This document explains how we collect, use, sync, and protect your data.

Last updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to Dzikir App, created by Fahmi Alfareza, Ahmad Aji Santoso, Achmad Fatkharrofiqi, Ari Kurniawan, and Yoga Sadewa. The app can be used without an account in Guest mode, or with Google or Apple login for sync. We may revise this policy when features or legal requirements change, and updates will be published on this page with the effective date.

Google or Apple Login

You may choose to sign in with Google or Apple. When you do, we receive basic profile information from that provider, such as your email address and display name. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password. Account login is optional; the main features can still be used as a guest.

Data We Collect

For signed-in users, we store basic profile information and worship activity data such as dhikr counts, dhikr history, Quran bookmarks, tasbih targets and history, and app settings. This data is stored on our server for cross-device sync. Guest users keep data locally on the device.

Cross-Device Sync

Sync lets signed-in users restore worship data after changing devices or reinstalling the app. Sync runs only while you are signed in and connected to the internet. Data uses a Last-Write-Wins flow based on the latest update timestamp.

How We Use Information

We use collected information only to identify your account, connect data across sessions, sync worship data between devices, and restore data after reinstalling the app. We do not use your data for ads, marketing, or unrelated commercial purposes.

Location Data

The app requests location permission only to show accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for your area. Permission is optional; manual city and country lookup remains available. We do not store location history on our server.

Third-Party Sharing

Dzikir App does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Google and Apple OAuth are used for authentication and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Data Security

Data sent between the app and our server is protected with HTTPS. Authentication uses JWT tokens with limited lifetimes. We do not store Google or Apple OAuth tokens on our server.

Delete Account and Data

You can sign out from Settings to remove local account data from your device. To delete server-side data for your account, contact us through the Support page. Guest users do not have server-side account data.
